Commodity versus Specialty coffee grading and trade explained

The Coffee Commodity market does not include coffee sold at retail, which is a different economic product, although its consumption patterns can affect commodity prices. Coffee as a commodity is traded in futures contracts on many exchanges, including the New York Board of Trade, New York Mercantile Exchange, New York Intercontinental Exchange, and the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange.
